Our History.

Early Intervention services have been available in Douglas County since 1992.

Douglas County Infant Toddler Coordinating Council, Inc. was formed in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The name was changed to tiny-k Early Intervention, Inc. in 2006. Today, the organization is part of the Infant Toddler Services of Kansas (ITS) and now called Infant Toddler Services of Douglas County.

Despite the name changes, the core mission and values of our organization have remained unchanged over the years. Infant Toddler Services of Douglas County has a Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC)—the Douglas County Early Childhood Council, which serves to ensure effective community collaboration.

Local Interagency Coordinating Council.

The Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) is a committee comprised of at least one current or former ITS parent and representatives from numerous community organizations, including the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department, Success by 6, Parents as Teachers, and Lawrence Public Schools.

For more information about the LICC, call (785) 330-2323.
